hi again :)
just a quick post to let you all know about a new blog on the block :) haha.. my friends judy and vince have started a joint blog (hopefully it will be updated more regularly with two people on "staff" haha..) called "pho for the soul" :o) make sure not to miss the post on 4/19!! there's a list of creative pho restaurant names... now, don't think that this is any ol' random come-up-with-it-on-the-spot list, lots and lots of thought and discussion have gone into it and it's just so funny :) truly "un-pho-get-a-bowl" (not to spoil the surprise or nothing :o)

hi!!! :)
princessjane posted a really interesting exposition on guy-girl relationships.. two jennuine thumbs up! :) that's my roomie!!! (i'm all like this proud mom type figure in this whole thing.. haha..) it's so true though! only recently, i had a conversation with a guy who thought he was being toootally obvious in his attentions to a lady friend, and who was *completely* stunned when i told him that i didn't think she had a clue!! no girl wants to *assume* that some guy likes her when it's toootally possible that they just like being your friend in a completely disinterested and platonic way.. anyways, jane was an english major so presents a much more coherent argument than a cs-ish person like myself could :)
i actually got to see jane this weekend too!! luwin and her drove up for some car photo shoots (yup, you heard THAT right.. haha..) and so saturday night, we played craniium, along with jerm, alby, vince, annie, sean and sadie and one of her friends ... our team rocked of course :) haha.. although apparently, the way i play cranium involves kinda *bending* some of the rules!! the best moment.. vince's "volcanic" dance :) haha.. annie and jane and i adopted it as our team's "movement" .. everytime our team got a question right, we would bust out a triple volcano eruption :o)
i guess i have a tendency to post on WEDNESDAYs, since in my last post, i also mentioned going to lsf.. where i am going to go in a few hours today too! haha.. i had originally planned to go to lab to do some programming, but it's raining and that's toootally making me very UNMOTIVATED to go out in the RAIN and trek to lab and be programming, probably with wet feet or something really discomfortable like that! haha.. :) so i'm going to try to be really productive at home this afternoon and do all this reading and stuff.. :) wish me luck! and if you see me online, boot me off!!! haha.. :o)
you know what though.... for one of my assignments, i have to observe people working for 15 minutes.... i can choose people working anywhere, so i have settled on tapioca express!! haha.. wonder why?? maybe so i can observe while sipping a yummy boba! lol :) albert and i are going to stop by there on our way to lsf so i can get my homework assignment done :) gosh, it's hard work, but i guess i can do it! hehe..

i added a link to mr. razzle-dazzle's blog this afternoon. i know i know, a lot of you are thinking, "jenn! are you stupid?! mr. razzle-dazzle hasn't posted anything in ages! don't waste my time with this stuff..." BUT, i have it on VERY good authority that mr. razzle dazzle will commence posting soon! check it out :) i think it would encourage him to post more and more :) hehe.. not that i'm advocating peer pressure, but you know how it is!
so i don't have much to say... but that i had my second class of tennis this afternoon :o) it was fun!! we were learning how to serve, something i NEVER was able to do, even when i was at my peak tennis playing days (um, i guess the peak doesn't go so high in this case! hehe..) oh, and also.. justin chan is coming to hang out with me this afternoon for a little bit before we head off to lsf small group tonight. that should be cool!! i *always* enjoy having visitors!! (ahem, *hint hint* to those who haven't come to see me yet.. haha j/k no pressure.. just a warning that i'll be GRADUATING in june and outta here and then you'd have no chance to do so! lol.. i really am kidding.. i could always take you to see the campus even after i'm no longer work work working away at my desk here..)
oh!! and finally!! i bought a reallllllllly cute purse this weekend at the mall when i went shopping with some lsf people :) it had to be sent from waikiki because they were all out of them in the western coastline?! haha i'm not sure if that's accurate.. but yeah, they sent it from hawaii, and it came today!! it really is so cute :) i just simply have to show you.. yeah, i'll prolly be carrying it all the time so next time you see me... :)

hello all!! just got back from a really fun night of celebrating jon tao's birthday! happy birthday jon! actually, his birthday isn't even until wednesday.. but we surprised him with dinner at buca in sf (shoot, that place is so yummy! and then, what a great deal, i got to bring leftovers home .. haha.. those plates are so big that this "leftover" portion should feed me for like a couple of meals! it's like chia's "economical" idea of buying a pasta dish to go and eating it for lunch and dinner for a whole week! haha.. by the end of that week, i think i would prolly rather not eat than eat that same old dish again!) and then after dinner, a bunch of us when to harvard and eileen's place for some DDR!!! haven't played that since i left Cal!! i have to say, it wasn't the same without my usual ddr buddies.. carson, yiyin, fiona and her one-foot-ddr style :o) so yeah, we met up for dinner at 9pm! and THEN ddred AFTERWARDS... lol, and you college kids think that once you get old, you don't know how to stay out late... j/k :) i for one am okay, since i don't have class till 11 tomorrow, but for you working folks, wow, gotta admire that stamina!! :) harvard has a blog now! i had no idea either!! check it out (i added a link to my side bar thingie) .. he talks about how super john woo was at ddr, and yo! it was sooo incredible seeing him fly across the dance pad like .. like a really good guitar player on the frets (or whatever that long neck portion of the guitar is called! hehe.. hope you know what i mean!)
anyways... i don't know what else to talk about...
this past weekend was my weekend with jerm, jason, justin, sadie and alicia (two friends of jenny wu's from minnesota who we met a few months back..) lol.. yeah, we saw each other like EVERY EVERY night.. kinda crazy :) i think the most memorable, for me, was saturday night at "hot import nights", a car show where jerm entered his c36 in.. he'll prolly post up pictures sometime, but his car looked realllly really nice and spiffy and cleaned up! i spent most of my several hours there with angel, alb and vince, just walking around and looking at all these fixed up cars! it was quite incredible what some poeple had done!! i saw two realllly suuuped up beetles! haha, like my car, but on steroids, with huge spoilers, NAS canisters for racing, realllly customized interiors, etc.. !! it made the beetle look like, NOT cute at all!! haha, i guess more of a car that *men* could drive :o)
oh, and also! i was watching lilo and stitch the other day (this is actually like a week ago ..), and they talk about family, and how "family means nobody gets left behind" :o) first, i thought that was such a cute movie!! secondly, i thought it was kind of like how we should be as a family in christ you know? like, as brothers and sisters, really watching out for one another and encouraging one another to grow in their faith, and in general, making sure that "nobody gets left behind" :o) it was kind of a cool realization for me to learn from a movie :o)
finally, today was WINSTON's birthday!! happy birthday winston!!!!!! *yay* :o)

hello everyone! today was the first day of our spring quarter here at stanford... :o) i have my nicest schedule EVER! :o) i don't have classes but on tuesday and thursday! (granted they are incredibly packed and long tuesdays and thursdays, but STILL!! i've never had days off like this before! hehe.. whatever will i do with my time?!?!? j/k i'm sure i can find stuff to do :o) like, for example, i am currently making apple sauce. haha.. how random is that?! we had a HUGE bag of apples that we were working our way through, but i just cut them all up and am boiling them as we speak (a recipe courtesy of phyllis, baker extraordinaire! :o) hehe.. she mades a mean mud pie, as those of us in lsf fremont ALLLL know!)
soo.. it's april fools day today! does anyone have any good prank stories to share?! i thought i had come away unscathed but just now, a friend of mine convinced me that his girlfriend (whose one of my friends..) had decided that she just wanted to be friends (pretty devastating stuff!!) and that he wanted me to talk to her for him.. lol.. i believed him and was about to call her and ask about it.. haha i would have sounded so lame :o) but yeah, anyways, i guess it wouldn't REALLY feel like april without people trying to pull wool over my eyes.... :o)
i had a really good spring break!!! :o) got to spend time with annie and yaz down in sd (i reallly really love getting to hang with you girls when i do! *big cheesy smile!*) .. annie and i went to watch a taping of american idol in la!! she got to sit next to simon (the more mean judge)'s mom and girlfriend (well, we THINK she is his girlfriend!) hehe.. and i sat next to a group of teenage girls with a big neon pink poster saying "so and so was soo hot" etc.. :o) .. and yaz and i are planning a trip to europe perhaps! well, planning is kinda too concrete.. more like dreaming at this point! hehe.. but we will go right yaz?!? :o) and then i came back up to go snowboarding with lots of crossroads and lsf people :o) cindy has some pics posted on her blog from this trip so you can check it out if you want! :o) i had a really good time.. to all those i got to spend time with that i don't usually see, thanks for spending time with me! you made the trip fun for me! :o) i was snowboarding with hs and kat, who are more advanced than i, so i went boarding on my first blue square intermediate slope!! unfortunately, i then fell and sprained my ankle! jerm and justin took me to the hospital (thanks guys! the waiting room was fun with you guys there! hehe.. who would have thought?!?) .. so i got my first crutches ever and a neat ankle brace thingie :) it was quite exciting.. haha until crutching around started to bruise my ribcage and every hop hurt! but yeah, i'm really feeling a lot better now! i didn't even need crutches to get around campus today... walking with only a very very imperceptible limp i think :) yay!
