ooooh.. almost forgot my most important announcement! :o)
carson has a new live journal now! check it out! he called me his "lovely girlfriend" in the first post.. awww.. :o)
doesn't it seem like everyone is jumping onto the web journaling bandwagon? :o) hehe...

i return ... successful! :o) haha.. they should devise some level of animal cracker dependency ratings.. like from level 0 to level 5 (where level 0 is a "casual animal crackers eater. will eat animal crackers when presented with them, but will not put effort into seeking out crackers" to level 5 "devoted to animal crackers. will travel within a 5 mile radius to obtain crackers.") well, according to a scale like that, going downstairs doesn't seem that severe! it'd only be like, level 0.1 or something :o) haha.. unless i make it a logarithmic scale (which seems more appropriate.. if a bit too mathematical and dorky! haha..) mm... that might make me a level 2 or so? it's so bizarre, before like 4 days ago, i never gave animal crackers a second thought! :o) seriously! that's not the denial kicking in or anything.. :o)

ohmigosh!! i can't believe what just happenned! (haha.. now that i have your attention, i'm afraid this might be a bit of a let down...)

i don't think i've mentioned this before, but in the past week or so, i've developed an animal cracker habit... yes, i know what people say about being dependent on a substance :o) but they're really the perfect snack! kind of sweet, but not too much so.. and not messy at all .. and best of all, can be enjoyed with a very satisfying CRUNCH feeling :o) all for the reasonable sum of 75 cents! (don't animal crackers sound really appealing to *you* right now? *wink wink* i soo understand.. haha..) soo.. anyways, i just ambled over to the vending machine to buy some crackers when i found *gasp* they had replaced them with ranch doritos!!!! how awful of a decision is that? i mean, in a vending machine fulllll of all sorts of random chips and such, whose going to look for even more types of chips anyways? (i'm not much of a chips person, can you tell? hehe..) i need to complain to someone... write a "dear mr vending machine man ..." note and tape it to the machine or something! :o)

oooof.. i just realized, i can try the vending machine downstairs! :o) que brilliante! :o) wish me luck! *toodle-loo*

i just added another link to this blogspot ... introducing *n*g*l*!! :o) check it out for a cool, much-more-hip! style ...

today's lsf lunch was at yoshinoya's (it was my turn to choose the place... i really like the beef bowls there :o) hehe..) but at lunch, we were talking about all the fat on the beef for a while... so when i got back to work, i decided to check up how much fat there was exactly in the beef :o) it turns out that almost alllll of the beef's calories come from fat! hmm.. knowing that, next time, the chicken is going to start looking pretty appetizing :o) haha.. back to work, will write more laters :o)

soooo... it's sunday evening now (7pm and still sunny outside! i really love that about summer time :o) my sister and i used to be allowed to play outside until it got dark, which in the summer meant 8pm which was the coolest! hehe..) and i must say that i had a really great weekend!

yesterday afternoon, carson and i went to the fremont art and wine festival .. it was pretty cool! there were lots of people there selling their homemade creations (or you *think* it's homemade at least! haha.. i really DO buy it --the idea--.. and buy it --the item-- too! haha.. so punny! :o) or is it like a homophone or something?) yeah but carson and i browsed lots of cool photograph collections (and it inspired him to really want to make his own photo collections one day .. you know, like "carson wong, photographer" hehe... so, he kept hinting that he wants a digital slr camera... i wonder if i should buy him one? well, it is only... several thousand dollars! puahaha.. maybe when i make my first several thousand dollars :o) ... ** i also bought a pair of wooden tulips for my new windowsill at school (i know i'm trying to save money, but i figure that i gotta have a windowsill of some sort right? and what windowsill couldn't benefit from a pair of wooden tulips? :o)

haha.. so on the subject of spending money and justifying it... (see, i *realize* that i was kinda trying to justify my expense to you all! haha..) .. i finished reading this book called confessions of a shopaholic which i thought was realllllllly funny!! if you enjoyed bridget jones' diary or if you like shopping, i toooootally recommend it! it's part of my latest trend of picking up books-that-i-might-buy at borders and sitting down and just finishing it there! it's such a cool environment.. like i really can just spend hours there :o) i was actually chilling there for a few hours today... they actually have a sequel to the confessions of a shopaholic book, called shopaholic takes manhattan! i was kinda reading it today.. but you know how the sequels are never QUITE as good as the original? well, that's not quite true either, i thought that the empire strikes back was better than the original star wars :o)

anyways, friday night i got to hang out with my ol' roomies, alvin shelley and francis :o) i can't believe that it's been a whole *year* since we roomed together.. it seems like only yesterday! i guess that's how i know i'm getting old, since i feel like i'm always talking about how time flies by! haha.. but yeah, the four of us met up (at borders! of course! where else?) and then got dinner and played a round of minigolf.. we played on the *hard* course at golfland.. it was really cool! they had like some monster holes! like you know those anthill style holes? there was like a GIGANTIC one -- almost the size of mount everest! haha.. well, a *wee* bit smaller :o) yeah it was muy muy fun ... i'm going to miss you guys next year! :(

yup, so i just washed and started cooking a pot of rice.. literaly, i haven't cooked (even that!) in such such a long time! i really want to cook something sometime soon .. keep me to that okay? :o) i'm sure that if i cooked i'd talk up a storm about it all! so you'll definitely know about it when it comes! hahaha...

okie dokie.. i'm zout of here (haha.. "zout" is this brand of stain remover that nancy once gave carson that carson gave fiona today.. sounds like "shout" but not! sounds like "out" but more! ... but enough is enough :o) zalk to you all zater :o)

hi everyone :o) i just got back from a seminar on advancing my technical career at intel .. it was given by the guy who was the chief architect for the 386 and 486 processors! (wow! ooohs and ahhhs all around.. :o) he's an intel fellow, which is like a select group -- only 30 some of them i think! -- of the tip top tech people of intel :o) and my family bought one of those 486s way back when i was in the 6th grade .. it was our very first family computer :o) good architecture, i have to give the guy props! :o)

anyways.. i just made a deal with allen that i would watch the movie "signs" if he could handknit a sweater .. (considering he thought that knitting was equivalent to sewing, i think i'm going to get off with the better end of the bargain! hehe..) .. the background to this is that i really really really don't want to watch the movie signs (with mel gibson, about aliens and monsters, very creeeeeeepy preview) like never ever ever, not even if they paid me a dollar or two! :o) haha.. for good laughs all around.. :o)

just wanted to share a really cool verse that i'm trying to memorize (again! haha.. i memorized it once with fiona a few months ago, but it slipped out of my head somehow..) psalm 85:10-13.. "Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other. Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps." Now, I'm no english major, but that sounds sooopa pretty and poetic to me :o)

a cool update to the site... a link to the live journal (similar to a blogspot like this..) of ms. cleo wang (that's a pseudonym for someone whose sooo famous that their real name might just send the traffic to her live journal skyrocketing and cause the whole thing to burn up!!!!) and we wouldn't want to do that :o) hehe..

i've had a pretty good day at work today.. i got to have lunch with josh :o) and i have a cool new assignment which is pretty interesting, oh, and allen gave me a yummy red delicious apple just a lil while ago (i really owe him mucho mucho baskets of fruit! hehe..) .. the only downside really has been the itchiness of my rash.. *scratch scratch* (i can TYPE that, but i'm really not supposed to.. you know, because it's bad for it.. but sometimes, i have to confess, i do.. i know i know, i *shouldn't *, but my skin just cries out "please! scratch me! i'm a scratch and sniff sticker!" <-- um okay.. that was purdy random! haha..)

oooh, so i have established a *permanent* email address which can be used to contact me through grad school and beyond!! :o) it's jennhw@cal.berkeley.edu ... yup yup, very similar to something you might have seen before! it's the alumni email service.. and i highly recommend it to anyone whose a cal grad.. cal.berkeley.edu is a pretty cool domain if i must say so myself :o) and plus it's free and you can do email forwarding through it forever and ever! :o)

starting another day of work... but just a quick shout out :o) also, something funny that i realized yesterday... carol and i were going back to work after getting lunch yesterday and she asked me (like many people do!) about my spoiler... it makes a noise when it goes up and down, kind of an attention grabbing contraption! :o) soo.. i was doing my normal shpiel, describing the spoiler and how it goes up when you exceed 50mph, and then goes back down when you go back under 10mph .. and she pointed out that i'd actually never seen my spoiler in action! haha.. :o) it's true though! i've actually never seen my spoiler go up or down as i cruise around in it! for all i know, it could be the ugliest, biggest fin of a spoiler that's ever been made! (i know that that's highly unlikely, but i mean, i've never seen it! what would i know! :o) hahaha.. we had a good laugh about it :o) and i wanted to share that *muy muy importante* revelation .. :o) going back to work now.. post more laters! :o)

ever since i've started working, mondays are something that i really *dread* literally!.. like, there are always those anti-monday songs and i finally realize where all that comes from! :o)

so yeah, part of the reason why this monday has been particularly hard was because this weekend was so eventful! :o) the rafting trip on saturday was wayyy fun! our crossroads/lsf group took up about 20 of the 2-people rafts and headed down this 4 mile river.. haha.. there's this really big rapid (called "Mother") during which they take pictures of you.. and it was cool seeing them because the whole way down Mother, carson and i were just like laughing and (from the looks of it) having the time of our life! haha.. funny because i actually remember screaming down the whole thing.. :o) but in an excited, only *kinda* scared way :o) it was really fun! the rapids were very exciting! and the calmer waters were fun because a bunch of other boats (albert and helen, winston and his cousin, john and kevin, vicky and mel, among others!) would just dawdle together and swim around (even though in retrospect, the water was pretty dirty! not to freak you out, but i actually got this kinda nasty rash going on now. i keep wanting to scratch my face! :( which is definitely the worst thing to come out of the experience!) but all in all, i had a very very fun time! definitely a recommended thing for anyone who hasn't been before! :o) oh, an extra plus, i didn't get sunburnt!! i actually am a *wee* bit more tan even! haha.. i put on soo many layers of sunblock cuz i was sure that i would burn up being out all day.. so in the end, even tho the sun was strong, my five layers of sunblock were even stronger! haha... yay! :o)

and then yesterday, i had lunch with annie and her boyfriend sean at yummy crepevine.. :o) they seem really happy together :o) and coming to cal! how cool :o) go bears! grrrrr! sssssss.... stanford sucks! oh! whoops! got kinda carried away there! :o) hehehe... and after that, there was a meeting for the new church plant at our house. so pretty much, cfc berkeley, my church from college, is planning a new church in the east san jose area. check out the link if you're interested, or if you live in the south bay area and are looking for an asian american church! as of now, we have meetings once a month on the 3rd sunday (well, you can read this all on the webpage too..) so yeah, if you're interested in checking it out, just come on by! :o) so our meeting yesterday was reallly cool.. spent some time thinking and brainstorming possible names! and then spent a lot of time in prayer for one another and for the new church ... yeah, knowing that God is on our side makes the whole church planting task seem mucho mucho less intimidating :o) after all, psalm 127 begins: "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain..."

soooo.. it's 5pm on friday afternoon :o) and i'm about to leave for the airport to pick up carson (this is all very very exciting :o) but *ofcourse* i had to update the blog first! else where would my priorities be?!? :o) hahaha..

also... tomorrow is the crossroads white water rafting trip!! yeah... we're going to go rafting at cache canyon ... it's actually the *second annual* crossroads trip! i remember last summer, working in chicago, toooootally wishing that i could go.. and now here i am, only hours away from departing! :o) seriously.. so much excitement here! :o)

and, a suuuuper stressful week is *finally* over! *sigh of relief.. followed by a big laugh* haha i'm just kidding... i have to work this weekend.. (pause) just kidding again! it actually wasn't a stressful week at all! by no means! :o) my team (or most of it.. barring myself of course!) is in russia for their semiannual in-person meeting, so i haven't had tooooo much to do at all :o) in fact, today, i had no real assigned work to be doing.. so i read several articles kinda related to what i might be doing soon, and then i had a very nice and fun! dim-sum lunch with howard (it's cool being able to get together for lunch with people who work at other companies nearby.. it's like kinda cool -- in can't seem to think of a better word -- like being at work one minute and suddenly, out with a friend the next.. i hope i'm making sense! :o)

but anyways.. i gotta jet (haha.. to pick up carson as he gets off of a jet! :o) hope you all have fantabulous weekends :o)

Thursday, July 18, 2002

what's up cat daddy? :o) haha.. according to an article i just read, that's how allen iverson greets his friends! yeah, i guess i'm still a fan, despite all the negative, non-law-abidingness aura that's surrounding him these days... not that i'm condoning what he did (lest you all think that i support gun-touting and domestic discord!) but i just still believe that he's a misunderstood young man with a really good heart who definitely needs some guidance and discipline, but isn't like some lousy, spoiled, good-for-nuttin' nba superstar :o)

okie dokie.. so a few hours into another day at work now :o) right now, i'm supposed to evaluate how some cases can break the current code, but all this thinking is so hard for my still-kinda-sick and kinda-woosy head :o) so that's why i'm taking this lovely little blog break :o)

sooo.. i went to the kinda-new lsf san jose small group last night :o) it was really cool, seeing another house-full of RCG (to borrow intel's acronym for recent college grads!) living together (kinda like our house.. but less people :o) hehehe..) And it's also cool seeing how the bible study really causes all of us to really *think* more about what we're doing and how we're living our lives.. and the best part is, that it's like that at every small group i've been too! the lessons are always challenging people and yeah.. i guess i just really hope to be able to apply the lessons :o) not to mention that the guys cooked up some wayy yummy barbeque ... AND i had the chance to catch up and chat and pray with elena and carol, both of which i haven't really seen much since they graduated a year/two ago :o) sooo.. all in all, it was a very fun and *uplifting* kind of evening :o)

haha.. until i went home and lost 3 straight matches in mario tennis to albert! what a meanie.. :( .. i had to cry myself to sleep after those devastating losses. (dramatic pause) .. just kidding!!! :o)

mmmm.. i'm excited about shopping this afternoon with allen and shelley! :o) yay! :o) now, for everyone who knows that i'm trying to watch my expenses, never fear! part of the reason for the trip is to actually RETURN some stuff .. so that's money coming IN! :o) sort of at least.. :o)

Wednesday, July 17, 2002

good morning! :o)
i just updated the left column of my blogspot.. as you can probably tell by the increased clutter on this page :o) i added some new links and such, but the most noteworthy is the grand opening of john's blogspot (a.k.a. mr. freeze's cryogenic chamber!) yup yup.. john's sort of a blog-protege of mine :o) hahaha.. so yeah, if you know john or are interested by the "cryogenic chamber" name (hehe) check it out.. definitely an up and coming blogspot! also, if any of you that read this blog have a personal/favorite website that i could link to from my page.. yeah, just send any suggestions my way :o)
sooo.. just got to work about an hour ago so not much going on so far today :o) hope you all have great ones!
ooooh... just two more days till carson comes back :o)

Tuesday, July 16, 2002

hellllllo everyone!! yup yup, i'm back from my weekend (i went on a roadtrip down to la this weekend! kinda spontaneously, like until friday afternoon at 5pm, i wasn't completely sure that we were even going! but of course it worked out in the end.. kinda like the story of my life! :o)

i guess i'll share the bad news first.. i'm feeling pretty sick :( yup yup.. i had a slight cold before this weekend.. and i actually felt fine in LA.. but then starting yesterday, my cough turned really painful *cringe* yeah.. it hurts when i cough now, and i have to cough a lot more than before.. *sniff* yeah.. so any offers of chicken noodle soup would be much appreciated *wink wink* .. haha, i'm just kidding :o) i think i just need to get more rest .. and i'm well on my way in that regard! i slept 11 hours last night!! yup yup.. that's like the first real *sleeeeeeeep* experience i've had for a while! :o)

okay.. but i want to share a few highlights from my trip! :o) so saturday morning, theresa, fiona and i picked up a rental car and took off for la! (thanks alby for the ride to the rental car place! *pat on back*) the drive down was fun.. kind of an amorphous mixture of driving, sleeping, and chatting for the three of us! :o) but we got down there safely and dropped theresa off at her house and then fiona and i arrived at yiyin/greg's apartment building (their apartments are just one floor apart! isn't that sooooper convenient?!) dan was already there cuz he had flown down a few days before us.. so that afternoon/evening, the 6 of us (introducing jay! greg's roommate..) went to venice beach and 3rd street promenade (two of my favorite places in la so far!) on the boardwalk at venice, they were selling lots of shoes and purses for realllllly reasonable prices! i didn't buy anything (yay! go jenn!) but it was kind of a *preview* of what shopping in china's going to be like and boy was i excited! :o) haha.. also 3rd street was particularly lively since it was a saturday night.. the street performers were doing lots of cool stuff, my favorite was this guy who blew incredible bubbles! like big bubbles within bubbles, surrounded by lots of little bubbles all spinning around each other (literally! amazing ain't it! :o) ooooh also that night, we went to diddy reese which has wayyyy yummy ice cream sandwiches made with real cookies! don't just take my word for it.. plenty of other people feel the same way too! sunday kinda felt like 5 days in one! :o) we went to three sunday services at grace community church (two in the morning and one in the evening) ... all different and very very good! :o) for anyone whose looking for a church in la, i'd totally recommend checking this church out! :o) in between the two service sets, fiona, melissa (yiyin's roomie! a way cool law student at usc! :o) and myself took dan shopping for some clothes which were in between the teeshirt/jeans level and the suit level :o) haha.. we had a good time (although dan seemed kinda not-as-into-it as we girls were! :o) and fi and i even came up with a new nickname for dan.. dan hehe-ttena cuz he was just cracking so many jokes! :o) after shopping we went back to yiyin's apartment where she had cooked up a storm! a real yummy homecooked chinese meal with lots of good dishes and even a whole fish! yummmmms.. :o) and then a nap before evening service... and then evening service, which was given my dr. jack macarthur, the FATHER of john macarthur, the head pastor at grace. he's been preaching since before "johnny" was born ( yup ... that's what he called john macarthur! so cute! :o) hehehe..) after evening service, greg and dan treated us "poor students" to a prime rib dinner at lawry's in beverly hills! yup.. now i can say that i've eaten in beverly hills! :o) THANKS guys! that was sooo generous :o) and soooo delicious.. :o) (yeah.. i know i talk about food a lot! :o) hehehe..) and then afterwards, we were so full that sleeping just came oh so easily.. :o) and then monday morning, before we left, dan made french toast for everyone (i know! food again.. ) but that was so good too! with this like apple syrup that he also made! i was really impressed, as you might be able to tell from the exclamation points! :o) so then yesterday (monday) fiona and i drove back up (sans theresa who was coming up with her brother, and also sans dan, who was having so much fun that he decided to extend his stay until thursday! hehehe...) yup.. we pretty much flew up in 5 and a half hours! :o) so that was a quick (haha, i guess i was kinda long though!) overview of my weekend :o) it was reallllly cool hanging out with yiyin again (we miss you up here!) and seeing greg and dan, and meeting melissa and jay, and talking/driving with fi and theresa :o)

and then.. coming back home was really nice... :o) john came to pick fiona and i up from the rental car place (thanks!) and then he took us to tapioca express (yummy!) and then he tried to pressure fiona into hanging out at our house for the rest of the afternoon/evening :o) hahaha..

okie dokies.. i'm going to get working now.. just spent longer than i prolly should have updating the blog :o) hehehe.. this is jenn, signing off.. :o) or rather, "moscow, this is J-19..." haha.. :o)

Thursday, July 11, 2002

jenn is jennnnn-uinely full!! :o)
i came home from work kinda hungry as usual so i ate dinner (hmm.. does this make sense so far?) yadda yadda yadda.. to make a long story short, jerm and josh's dad was in town and he took us out to dinner (actually, the story itself isn't that long anyways.. :o) hehehe..) so now, two dinners later, i'm full and dang! full :o) hmm.. it seems like overeating has been a recent theme in this blog :o) maybe i should just learn my lesson! haha...

ooooh guess what? i was browsing other blogs today and i visited one where the guy like updated his blog like 40 times a day!!! wow.. talk about keeping people updated :o) hey.. if you have a website and you want me to link to it (cuz you're my *friend* of course!) then send an url my way :o) coolios.. i'm going to watch ya-yas soon with nancy jerm and alby! :o) soooo excited! hopefully it'll be as cool .. or even half as cute! .. as the book :o)

hello! another schmother day for me.. :o)

i just got home from dinner a little while ago.. muy muy fun time :o) i ate at sushi boat with amy chang (yup, for the first time ever, and we sure did it with a bang! as you'll see..).. and yup, as the name "sushi boat" suggests, there were lots of little boats carrying around plates of sushi :o) we went a little crazy i think.. (haha.. the guy behind the counter who makes the sushi was laughing at us, and even told us to stop taking stuff!) everything was just so yummy looking.. and everything looks (deceptively!) small portioned so we kinda *thought* we could handle it :o) everything WAS yummy and i think we learned a bit about *self-control* in the face of lots of sushi! see, there's always *something* to be learned from every experience... (that kinda makes the whole expenditure seem more okay.. right, amy? :o) hehe..)

not toooo much happenned at work today, besides almost getting FROZEN by the air conditioning at work! haha.. it was pretty darn cold in my cube when i was working.. but then i went to a big meeting in this one auditorium and .. literally, it was soooooooo cold in there! (it might have been a tactic to keep the audience very awake.. which would be clever.. kind of cruel but clever *smile* hehe..)

yup that's about it... oooh .. john came home today! yay! :o) it was kinda funny cuz he walked in with big bottles of water for the house.. like, as if that had been his *luggage* .. :o) well, i guess it'd be funnier to SEE than to just hear/read about :o) kay .. peace out ev'ryone :o)

haha.. an update for all you blog-readers who may be slightly confused :o)
i got a comment (from a blog-reader that will remain anonymous.. hehe..) that the last post was a little too *girly* :o) so i've editted it to make it more readable for people of all genders :o)
so in case you stopped by twice and saw two slightly different posts, don't worry, you're NOT imagining things! :o)

hey everyone! soo.. i've gotten some affirmation from people who do read this blog .. so a big thanks and a *shout-out* to julie, allen and mr. freeze! :o) julie tried to encourage me by saying that the purpose of a web journal is for me to read later and remember what i've done and stuff (thanks hon! hehe..) but i guess if that was all i wanted to do, i'd just keep a normal journal :o) and not post it on the public, accessible-to-any-and-all internet :o)

so anyhoo.. i've had a nice day at work (this week is still sort of starting slowly for me.. not that i've been leaving early or anything *with a headshake and a smile* but just in terms of not getting THAT much done, kind of like if work was a walk, i've been going at it with a very meandering kind of attitude, rather than a running-to-catch-a-bus attitude.. if that makes any sense :o) hehe..

i dropped off an application at stanford university today for a teaching assistant position! it'd be sooooo cool to be a T.A. but it seems kind of formidable from my current point of view since there are so many applicants (it comes with tuition credits for a super expensive school after all!) and i'm pretty low on the priority list.. but of course i'm going to give it a shot anyways :o) so please pray for me in this regard! :o) it'd toootally help my family out in terms of paying double stanfordian tuitions... haha.. it was pretty funny because josh was kind of confused as to why i was working on my resume last night (wait.. don't you already have a job?) ..

so what else is new? ooh i had an arby's roast beef last night.... those are sooo yummmy! i used to realllly like them as a kid but then like i kind of got sick of them and didn't eat one again until like last winter break or so? and it was like.. wow! welcome back! haha.. and also, last night linda and josh were looking thru josh's old photo albums and there were soooo many old memories there! like he had this picture of the first time julie and i went to the youth fellowship at cbc (do you remember this jewel? it was like when we first first moved to sd..) and pictures from when we were on student government together in high school.. and then pictures of him, jerm and just when they were little ..haha.. now these aren't MY memories but nevertheless.. :o)

Monday, July 08, 2002

wow, it's been a while since my last post! haha.. but i added a counter to my blogspot and since no one visited it in these last few days (sniffle sniffle.. but no one will see the sniffling either.. just kidding!) i guess it's all good in the hood :o)

anyways.. i just got home this evening from my weekend in san diego! it was soooo fun :o) very relaxing of course, and i completely cleaned up my room (not that it's completely clean, but i cleaned very completely ... does that make sense? haha..) AND i got to spend some time catching up with my home girls annie and lisa :o) yay! double yay! :o) for some reason, i spent a lot of time in that new shopping plaza in mira mesa (barnes and noble <-- where, as a side note, annie and i bought identical lavendar journals, ross! <-- where, as another side note, i got a pink purse and lis bought three assorted purses! hehe.. and the memories store! that place is sooo cool! every friday/saturday evening they have "moonlight madness" where you can go in and scrapbook with all their supplies .. punches and stamps and such.. with other gung-ho scrapbookers! that just sounds soo fun.. :o) i want to try it out next time i'm home! :o) hehehe.. you'll know where to find me :o)

sooo jerm and alb picked me up from the oakland airport this evening and then we went to this pho restaurant at my recommendation that the pho bowls were really yummy and really large and the owner/server guy really funny :o) however, the pho wasn't so yummy for them (too much cilantro!) AND the bowls weren't as large as i remembered AND the guy wasn't that talkative today! so i felt kinda bad about all that.. but i think we're all over it by now :o) hehehe... and tonight's been really cool :o) i worked on a scrapbook page of pictures carson and i took on campus towards the end of the school year (with the cherry blossoms in bloom!) while chatting with nancy and frances (with jerm and harv making cameo appearances and trying to join in the *girl talk* :o) hehehe..) (as a side note, harv just came into the garage where i'm typing and i showed him his *cameo* appearance in my blog! haha..)

anyhoo.. tally-ho! off to sleep i go :o) kinda excited about going back to work tomorrow! hehe.. i hope everyone had a good looooong weekend :o)

haaaaappppy fourth of july! (i keep typing julie instead of july! maybe it's because my sister isn't here to celebrate with me .. *sniff* it's kind of one of those holidays we usually spend together so it's kinda odd! but i just wanted to say a special hello to my sister julie and her boyfriend mike! ello! reunited this week after some time apart :o) hope you kids are having a good time! :o)

i'm home in san diego for the long weekend.. which is muy muy cool :o) it's verrrrry relaxing being at home.. today, my mom and dad and i hung out all day :o) we went shopping (i bought some realllly cute stuff .. lots of sales!) and then watched men in black 2 :o) verrrrry funny movie! highly recommended! two jenn-thumbs up :o) (like one of those photo poses with a big smile and two thumbs up!) ooh and then we went to del mar and watched the fireworks by the beach! :o) i've told several people this, but they have some really nifty firework varieties now! they have ones where the little sparkelies go in allll random directions! soo neat looking! :o) gooood times good times :o) and now.. pretty much my parents have been asleep for several hours now :o) hehe.. and i was chatting online, checking email and now... (drumroll please...) i'm updating my blog! "yay!" cries blog readers everywhere! :o) hahaha.. hmm.. it might just be me yaying but whateva! :o)

hopefully all the lsf people had a good time at the bbq at the house tonight :o) i got phone called/imed by 3 house members tonight :o) i felt the love.. felt the love :o) thanks guys *smile* hehehe... oooooh yeah, josh had some cool fireworks for tonight! we *test-exploded* several the past few nights.. and ran around laughing and screaming like lil kids :o) hehehe.. albert even jumped over one of the fountains! a verry daring stunt! :o) haha.. okay, going to get some sleep now.. or at least get offline in case i'm disturbing my parents' zzzzs :o) soooo.. gnight! or, as ryan says oh-soooo eloquently, "p's out" :o)

hi again! it's wednesday .. noontime :o) wow.. i can't believe the morning has flown by already! wooooooooooosh :o) it's actually a really good feeling when a morning goes by and i feel like i've *done* something.. and when i'm *doing* work, i don't really notice the passage of time as much, so yeah, all in all, it's been a good productive morning (surprisingly! considering it's the day i'm leaving for home and the beginning of a long weekend! :o) i feel like a kid at school on the last day before winter break.. only the other kids aren't very excited about it! haha.. i mean, my group is still working away really really diligently preparing for the release.. and then the out-of-the-country people we work with are acting like nothing's coming up.. (that was s'posedly a joke.. because for them, nothing is coming up, literally.. "haha" <--- that's your line, in case you forgot *wink*) what have i been doing you might ask? well.. pretty much it's an executable file that will run on any (intel) platform!! it's for my manager's manager to review the product we've been developing.. pretty exciting eh? i just sent it out like a few minutes ago so i'm still kind of happy happy about it :o)

i'm going to go get some lunch now.. i'll keep you posted :o)

it's tuesday afternoon now and i'm realllllly excited about the long weekend! :o) i feel like i haven't been home in a while... and plus, a long break from work and driving the commute!! will be nice :o) hehehe... but i think that that's having a somewhat dampening effect on my productivity at work :o) i'm just going to try to finish one more thing and then head home for the evening :o)

tonight is a house meeting at the "chesapeake manor" :o) it's pretty cool because yesterday was the first night when allllll 8 of us where home under one roof! jerm came back from san diego and danny came back from chicago and john and cindy both weren't up near berkeley :o) so that was pretty cool! very happenin' and bustling and full of people and voices and stuff like that :o) it made it hard to find a quiet place to talk on the phone though!.. john came downstairs at like 2:30 and deemed it "relationships hour" cuz cindy, jerm and i were all on the phone.. hahaha.. he is so funny sometimes! :o) ooh.. i want to tell this story.. pretty much we were talking about how he could fail the psychological exam (for the police force) if he had multiple personalities.. and then, joking around about the situation where the psychiatrist *discovers* these personalities.. john (in one of his "other" personalities) crys out "i knew that you would mess this up for us! why did you waste our time?".. golly, that was soooooooooo funny... (in real life, because i'm guessing my rendition doesn't quite do it justice at all! haha.. maybe that should be one of my summer goals, to get better at telling stories/jokes.. :o)

for dinner last night, i almost ate with a bunch of eecs-ers in berkeley :o) it was kind of a bon voyage dinner for allen and ryan before they head off to taiwan and la respectively :o) i dunno.. it's weird thinking that everyone i'm used to seeing pretty regularly is going to be split up like really soon! i guess that's what happens when you grow up and enter the "real world".. but honestly, i'm kinda realllly glad to still be going to school for a lil while longer at least :o) living in my jenn-uinely jenn world i spose :o)

monday morning.. sometimes it's so hard to get back into the swing again :o) we all left kinda late this morning (or at least josh and i did.. the others were still asleep hehe..) well, for me, it was because i just move realllllllly slowly when i'm tired in the mornings :o) but for josh (this is kinda funny!) he couldn't find his keys.. it turns out he left them outside the house, on the curb, along with his shirt and cell phone! (from yesterday afternoon when they were playing basketball.. haha.. well i thought it was funny :o) especially since nothing really *happenned*...)

anyways.. i'm really excited that nancy's moved in officially this weekend :o) when she first brought her stuff over, our room looked like just one biiiiig bed! :o) hahaha.. but after the guys helped us move out the desk and jerm's bookshelf, and after we moved a lot of stuff to the garage (sorry alb! :o) hehehe..) it's starting to look really girly and much cleaner and verrrrrrrrrrrry liveable :o) that makes 8 people living at the house now.. well, at least when we're all there! :o)

aite.. time to get back to work (or back to starting to work.. :o) i'm feeling a *little* more alert and such now :o)
